The Marion Historic Village Project (2008)
From Oct 2007 to July2008, Beach Road Artworks facilitated a series of clay based art making studio sessions with residents from the City of Marion. During these sessions participants produced hand made, original hand painted tiles, depicting relevant historical images. The completed tiles were used to fabricate a ‘Hopscotch’ for the George Street Reserve and two tile benches for the Light Square precinct. These community based public artworks help define the ‘Village’ area and are installed within Marion Village Heritage Walk.
