Bus Stops (2003 – 2004)
The Bus Stop Project is a community based public art project, which has replaced all eight bus shelters on Beach Road, Christies Beach. The shelters were specifically designed to accommodate large-scale double-sided hand made clay tile murals. The artwork was created working with the themes of travel and the seaside environment. Over 80 community members were involved in the project including participants from, the Artworks Volunteer Core Group, Christies Beach High School Aboriginal Education, F.A.M.E and local community members.
